Eric "Extreme" Goldberg
Why did you become a wrestler? I loved to watch wrestling as far back as I can remember and thought that I could be a positive addition to the business.
What is your favorite saying? Are you extreme enough?
What is your favorite song? It changes daily. I like very fast paced music for I usually only listen to music when I am in the gym working out.
What is your favorite weapon to use in a wrestling match? I never liked weapons. That isn’t what wrestling is all about.
What is your favorite movie? Anything Star Trek. I am a total geek.
What is your favorite food? I love tuna fish.
Who is your favorite musical artist or band? I don’t like any artist in particular. I just like fast paced music in general.
Who is your favorite actor and/or actress? Jonathan Frakes & Marinna Sirtis
Besides yourself who is your favorite wrestler? Paul London
What are you’re outside the ring interests or hobbies? bodybuilding and amateur astronomy
What is your high school and/or college athletic background? Absolutely none. I totally suck at sports.
What promotions have you worked for? New England Championship Wrestling, Ringside Wrestling, Northeast Championship Wrestling, Wrestling Alliance of Mayhem, Power Pro Wrestling, Massachusetts Extreme Grappling Arts.
What titles have you held? None
What is your most memorable match ever? One time I was working a match in training and my opponent ripped off his leg. It was titanium. I had no idea it was a fake leg. I was shocked beyond belief.
Who was your toughest opponent in a single or tag team match? Former Boston Bruins star Lyndon Byers. He used to beat the crap out of me.
What would you like people to know about you? Although my chronic illness robbed me of my pro wrestling career in 2001 I still stay active by being one of the local promoters for New England Championship Wrestling and heading up Security for a few other promotions.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a wrestler? What I am doing now, since I am no longer a wrestler. Promoting and working corporate and wrestling event security.
What would you like people to remember about you? That I didn’t let my illness completely take me out of the business and that even though I couldn’t wrestle I stayed involved with the business to help promote my brothers and sisters in arms.
Thank You Eric Goldberg it's been a pleasure.
Eric Goldberg - "If you don’t like something in wrestling then don’t bash it on message boards. Instead of hiding behind a keyboard like a coward, go to a reputable pro wrestling school, learn how to wrestle, pay your dues,
and then do it the way that you think it should be. Otherwise keep your mouth shut and stop trying to bring down the business!
Even though my illness took my pro wrestling career away from me I still stay in the business by promoting and heading up security for a few promotions. Please check them out. One is linked here and the rest are on my website.
