Rip
Why did you become a wrestler? I became a wrestler because my father introduced me to watching wrestling when I was three years old, and I never stopped watching it. My father wrestled for a little bit before he met my mother and was going to sign a contract to Tag Team with Rick Rude for Florida Championship Wrestling back in the day, but the weekend he was going to sign the contract he met me mom and quit wrestling. So I kind of feel I am picking up were he almost took off. I have such a passion for this business, and its way more to me right now than making a buck, I am enjoying what I am doing and I think I will for a very long time and hopefully as long as I'm a part of this sport.
What is your favorite saying? My dad always said "Don't start something unless you plan on finishing it". I pretty much live by that quote, I am the type of person that WILL NOT stop what I am doing until it's done, and it pisses me off if something happens that keeps me from finishing it.
What is your favorite song? Wow this is a hard one, I have a lot of favorite songs, but I think my all time favorite song would have to be "Stairway to Heaven" by Zeppelin. I know that's like everyone's favorite song but it is the best song ever made.
What is your favorite weapon to use in a wrestling match? My favorite weapon to use in a wrestling match would have to be my flip flops. I don't use weapons that much but when I do slapping someone in the back of the head with a flip flop is priceless.
What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is The Crow.
What is your favorite food? My favorite food is any kind of Chinese food; I eat at a
Who is your favorite musical artist or band? My favorite bands are Dave Matthews Band, CKY, and H.I.M.
Who is your favorite actor and/or actress? My favorite actor would have to be Brad Pitt.
Besides yourself who is your favorite wrestler? My favorite wrestler, besides myself of course, would have to be Sting. I grew up watching Sting and he's a big reason why I wanted to become a part of this business. I would do anything to have the opportunity to wrestling Sting one day.
What are you’re outside the ring interests or hobbies? My interests outside the ring are weightlifting at my house four times a week, hanging out with my girlfriend, which is always nice, or going to the beach.
What is your high school and/or college athletic background? My High School athletic background is pretty much nothing. I did one season of High School weightlifting and I got 4th place at a District Competition or something like that. I did four days of football and absolutely hated it.
What promotions have you worked for? I have worked for No Name Wrestling, Future Stars of Pro Wrestling, Sunray Pro Wrestling, Southern Championship Wrestling and Florida Pro Wrestling Association.
What titles have you held? I have not yet held a title, but I have my first world title match on April 10th for No Name Wrestling (www.nnwfl.com) against Erick Stevens.
What is your most memorable match ever? My most memorable match so far has been my Fans Bring the Weapons Match with Chasyn Rance in my home town in front of all my friends and family. The crowd was so into the match and it was my hardest hitting match I've ever been a part of.
Who was your toughest opponent in a single or tag team match? My toughest opponent so far would have to be Bad Dogg Bullock, it was a match for Sunray Championship Wrestling, and he mutilated me. He was their first ever champion and I knew why after that match.
What would you like people to know about you? I would like people to know that Rip
What would you be doing if you weren’t a wrestler? I really have no idea, I don't really have interests in anything else at this point, and I didn't see myself doing anything else before I was in wrestling.
What would you like people to remember about you? I want people to remember how much I care about this business, and how much I put into it. I want people 10 years down the road to be like man he is just as fun to watch as he as always been, I don't want anyone to not care about seeing me, that's why I give 110% for all the matches I wrestle.
Thank You Rip
Rip Malibu – “I know it's what everyone always says and it may be corny to some, but if anyone has the dream out there of becoming a pro wrestler, and you really have the heart and soul then try it out and stick with it. Before I go into wrestling I weighed 70 lbs heavier than I do now, then I busted my ass and worked to make myself good for wrestling. Now I'm having the best time of my life wrestling every weekend, and the best feeling in the world, and this happened to me a few weeks back, is when I little kid comes up to you after a match and says "I was cheering for you during your match". That's why I do it, that's why I am a pro wrestler.”
